How would u recommend we study for the test? Do you recommend that we look at any specific problems from the end of the chapters in your class notes?
Honestly, professors tend to ask the same types of questions over and over again, if not exactly the same questions.
For that reason, I'd say you would be best off sifting through my old HW, quizzes, and exams from prior PH102 courses. For the most part, they all have solutions. (The end-of-chapter questions in the notes are drawn from old material too.)
You can start here and wander through the appropriate directories.
I have noticed on previous exams that the material we covered the first few days of class(Relativity) was not really covered on the past exams. Not giving too much away, will this also hold true for the upcoming exam?
Right ... you're definitely paying close attention then :-)
That has been the case in the past, and that's probably what I'll do for this exam. Relativity is important, but disparate from the rest of the material we've covered so far. That makes the exam a much harder thing to study for, which is not so good.
I'll decide one way or another by Thursday some time and post the list of topics for the exam. I would say it is about 3:1 in favor of leaving relativity being off exam 1 right now.
(Either way, it will be on the final.)
